General Prevention Measures to prevent vehicle theft i.
Park the car in places intended for both students of the Faculty. Be sure not to forget to place the security staff and activate the respective alarm.
ii. Do not leave a visible valuables in your car or flashy.
iii. Make sure windows and doors are tight with their insurance, even if only for a short time you park.
If car theft
1. Immediately request the support of UNAM surveillance or Central Emergency Response to September 16, 1914 telephone 56. You can also use emergency posts located on the ramp of the Faculty and at the entrance of it.
2. Locatel call 56 58 11 to take the report of the theft and can help locate the car outside the premises of CU, requesting that they notify the Judicial Police to recognize when it intercepted the vehicle.
3. If your car is insured for insurance call to give notice of the theft, in case you are no longer credit or debit cards in the car report it immediately to the correspondent bank for the cancellation.
4. Go to the FCPyS Legal Unit, located on the ground floor of G. (Phone 56229470 ext. 1092) to provide information to guide where to go and what to do in case of theft. (This also applies in case of theft within the faculty, eg.'s Laptops)
5. As theft is a crime that is prosecuted ex officio, must stand before the agency 22 of the Public Ministry (Streets and Zompantitla Tecualiapan, Coyoacán 2 blocks from the Comercial Mexicana de Miguel Ángel de Quevedo), to lift the Act relevant complaint .
6. Deliver a copy of the theft report to the Legal Unit of the Faculty, that fact made known to the Administrative Secretariat and that body has elements to request more support from security personnel.
